•What is Group Workcamps Foundation asking
of your facility?

•This sounds like a ton of work. How will we manage it?

•As a Group Workcamps Foundation host, what
exactly is my facility responsible for?

•Other groups ask to use our facilities. How will we accommodate all requests and still conduct
summer maintenance?

How can we be assured our facilities will not be damaged?

First, the young people who participate in a Workcamp pay to be involved. This usually involves a full year of fund-raising. These are “cream-of-the-crop” kids who are serious about coming to your community to build it up, not tear it down. The teenagers are fully supervised and will treat your facility with respect.

Second, Group Workcamps Foundation will provide you with a written agreement that is absolutely clear: We will take care of—to your complete satisfaction—any damage caused by our participants. Group Workcamps Foundation is fully covered by liability insurance for all participants and facilities (we’ll happily provide you proof of coverage), so you have nothing to worry about. We want to come back and serve your community year after year.

Third, Group Workcamps Foundation has been in operation since 1977. Now with over 30 years of service, we can provide you with an impressive list of referrals from both community cosponsors and host facilities that have not only been satisfied with the experience but hope that Group Workcamps Foundation will return in the future. These organizations have recognized the valuable contribution of this kind of project to their community.
