•This sounds like a ton of work. How will we manage it?

•How can we be assured our facilities won't be damaged?

•As a Group Workcamps Foundation host facility, what exactly is my facility responsible for?

•Other groups ask to use our facilities. How will we accommodate all requests and still conduct summer maintenance?

What is Group Workcamps Foundation asking of your lodging facility?

When Group Workcamps Foundation comes to a community, we need a place (typically a local middle school, junior high, or senior high) to house our volunteer workforce. We are asking to use your facilities for a week. The Workcamp usually requires the use of 30 to 35 classrooms for sleeping, the gym for evening programs, locker and shower facilities, shop or garage for material/tool storage, the cafeteria, and a room for general office space.

We would also like to utilize some staff members—such as kitchen workers, support staff, custodians, or facility managers—who will be paid their normal wages. Many will be off for the summer, so the additional income will be helpful.
